Mansfield OH parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8:00am (May through September) and 9:00am (October through April). ?It is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be (you can even walk if you want!), whether that?s for fun or as part of a training plan. Taking part is easy ? just register before your first ever parkrun. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! In this needle felting class you?ll be learning to sculpt a bunny out of roving (produced during the process of making spun yarn from wool fleece). Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to repeatedly jab the roving causing the fiber to tangle and become more compact. In this class you will learn the basics of needle felting a three dimensional object, how to create a core shape, apply an outer color, ears, arms, and legs, if desired, as well as create facial features. Students can choose different colors and each will design their own unique bunny rabbit. As time allows, students can needle felt ?bunny accessories? such as hats, scarves, etc.This class is for all skill levels. There will be a simple design option for those that have never needle felted, which will allow beginners to learn and understand the process of needle felting without some of the details that those with experience may want to tackle. For others with some felting experience, techniques for making arms, legs, and accessories will be taught. Using a similar method to making a pinch pot you will be able to customize your gnome to have a beard and a hat. Plus, using stamps you will be able to add fun textures and even be able to add your name using letter stamps! The gnomes will be ready to pick up at the end of the following week. By using the right combination of plants, gardeners can reduce watering and weeding as well as attract a wide variety of birds and other pollinators. Explore how planting long-lived perennials and grasses, adding spring bulbs, leaving seed heads standing, and designing with fall and winter interest can transform your garden. Austin is an independent garden design consultant based in Chicago, Illinois USA. He specializes in designing emotional, dynamic, naturalistic landscapes using strong perennials and grasses with all season interest. And this month Game Night is also sponsored by Athletic Brewing!Meet Michelle from Athletic Brewing, and learn about their award-winning, and great-tasting near beers. Athletic Brewing offers a variety of non-alcoholic beers perfect for those New Year resolutions, Dry January, and designated drivers. Michelle will be here starting at 5:30 pm.Game play will start at 6:30 pm with seating beginning at 5:30. All games must be concluded and cleaned up by 10 pm.
